Version 2026-10-14 · Applies to staterfi.com, the Sepolia testnet app at /app/, and the mainnet app at /router/
/app/ is a test network with play money and no real value. The page at /router/ is real money on Ethereum mainnet — but it sends your transaction to a third-party lending protocol we did not write and do not control. We never hold your funds on any of them.
StaterFi ("we," "us," the "StaterFi team") is an early-stage software project building a non-custodial, Bitcoin-first lending protocol. As of this version, StaterFi has not been incorporated as a legal entity and its own lending protocol is in development and not deployed on Ethereum mainnet; it opens only after an independent security review. No real deposits are accepted into any StaterFi contract.
Which parts of these Terms apply to you depends on which page you are using. Please be clear which one you are on.
| Surface | Network | Whose contracts | Real money? |
|---|---|---|---|
| staterfi.com marketing pages | — | None | No |
/app/ — StaterFi app (currently redirected to /router/) | Sepolia testnet | StaterFi's, in development | No. Play tokens, no value |
/router/ — mainnet app | Ethereum mainnet | A third-party protocol's, not ours | Yes. Irreversible |
Sections 3, 4 and 9–13 apply to everything. Section 5 applies only to the testnet app. Section 6 applies only to the mainnet app, and is the most important section in this document if you are using it.
Nobody at StaterFi can access, move, freeze, or recover funds in your wallet or in any smart contract you interact with through our pages. Every action requires your own wallet signature. We do not hold your private keys or recovery phrase, and we will never ask for them.
Transactions you approve are submitted directly to the blockchain and are irreversible. We cannot stop, reverse, or refund them. We cannot recover funds sent to a wrong address, lost to a compromised device, or lost to a protocol failure.
"Non-custodial" means we cannot steal from you. It does not mean your funds are safe. You can still lose everything to a bug, an exploit, an oracle failure, a liquidation, or your own mistake.
Supplying a token requires two signatures: an approval that lets a contract move that token on your behalf, and the action itself. Approvals persist until you revoke them.
/router/ we request an approval for the exact amount of each action, never an unlimited one./app/ — test assets only/router/ — real money, someone else's protocolThis is the section to read carefully. See also the separate Risk Disclosure, which forms part of these Terms.
This page assembles transaction data and presents information. When you confirm, your wallet sends that transaction to the lending pool contract on Ethereum mainnet, shown on the page by its address — a third-party protocol StaterFi did not write, does not operate, does not control, and is not affiliated with, an agent of, or endorsed by. Your relationship for those funds is with that protocol and its governance, not with us.
We display the pool contract address we target on the page itself so you can verify it independently before signing. Please do.
StaterFi charges nothing for supplying or withdrawing through this interface, and receives no referral payment, revenue share, or other compensation from the protocol in connection with it. The protocol's own rates and reserve factors apply and are set by its governance, not by us. Borrowing through this interface, where offered, is routed through StaterFi's own router contract and carries a flat origination fee of 3% of the amount borrowed. The fee is added to your debt and shown before you confirm; it is capped at 10% by a constant in the contract. Within that cap the contract's owner, which is StaterFi, can change it at any time, up or down. The fee that applies to a loan is the one shown before you confirm that loan.
Funds you supply to the protocol are not insured, not guaranteed, and not covered by StaterFi, by any deposit-protection scheme, or by any first-loss reserve. StaterFi's own first-loss reserve — discussed elsewhere on this site in relation to StaterFi's protocol — does not apply to anything on this page.
Balances, prices, interest rates and health factors shown here are read from the protocol and its price oracles at the moment of display. They can be stale, can change between display and execution, and can be wrong if a data source fails. Do not treat any number on this page as authoritative. The protocol's own interface is the canonical view of your position.
This interface offers supplying, withdrawing and sending. It offers borrowing and repaying only once StaterFi's fee contract is deployed; until then those controls do not appear, and nothing on this page can open or repay a loan. When you have a loan open, the maximum withdrawal it offers is a conservative one: it keeps your position within its borrow limit, not merely above the liquidation threshold, so the protocol's own interface may allow more. It does not offer stable-rate or isolated-mode positions.
You may not use StaterFi if you are located in, or a resident of, a jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions, or if you are listed on a sanctions list maintained by the U.S., EU, UN, or other applicable authority.
We enforce this in two ways, and we tell you plainly what each can and cannot do. Access is blocked from comprehensively sanctioned jurisdictions using the country your connection appears to come from — an imperfect signal that a VPN defeats. Connecting wallet addresses are checked against the OFAC Specially Designated Nationals list, which is an exact-match check and not a funds-tracing service; an address one hop from a sanctioned address will pass. Either control may fail permissively if our infrastructure is unavailable, because we would rather not lock you out of your own funds than guarantee a block.
Neither control prevents anyone from interacting with the underlying smart contracts directly, because those contracts are public, permissionless, and not under our control. Compliance with the law where you are remains your responsibility.
You agree not to use our pages to violate applicable law, to attempt unauthorized access to StaterFi systems, to interfere with other users, or to knowingly exploit a vulnerability for gain rather than disclosing it. If you find a security issue, please report it to [email protected] rather than exploiting it.
Our pages and any contracts you reach through them are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that displayed figures are correct or that the software is free of defects.
Nothing here is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to supply, borrow, or hold any asset. Lending and borrowing crypto-assets can result in the total loss of your funds. Borrowing against volatile collateral carries real liquidation risk. On the mainnet app, liquidation follows the third-party protocol's rules, not ours: there is no warning and no grace period, the penalty is the protocol's (5% to 7.5% of the amount repaid when this version was written), and while the collateral or the debt is worth less than 2,000 dollars a liquidator may repay the whole loan in one transaction. The Risk Disclosure says more. Never commit more than you can afford to lose entirely.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the StaterFi team is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of funds, profits, data, or access, arising from your use of our pages or of any third-party protocol reached through them — including losses caused by smart-contract failure, oracle failure, liquidation, network congestion, incorrect displayed information, or your own error.
Said plainly, because a limitation clause that nobody reads protects nobody: if you lose money using these pages, we do not compensate you, and there is currently no incorporated entity to claim against. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply only to the extent permitted.
We may update these Terms, particularly once a legal entity is formed and ahead of any launch of StaterFi's own protocol. Each version carries a version identifier, shown at the top of this page. Material changes require you to accept again before using our applications. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
